COMMENTS: Now discontinued, "3121" was the first (and only) fragrance created by Prince Rogers Nelson, the legendary singer, composer, and performer in collaboration with perfumer Adriana Medina of Givaudan, and Larry & Carol Couey of Revelations Perfume & Cosmetics Inc. of New Hope, PA. With the 30 ml bottle selling for $31.21, the Eau de Parfum fragrance featuring white florals was launched July 7, 2007 (7/7/7) with Prince donating 7% of all sales of the day to 7 different international charities. Many different explanations exist as to the significance of the number "3121", the name Prince selected for his debut fragrance, including: 1) "3121" was the name of Prince's 31st studio album and title song that was released on March 21, 2006; 2) "3121" was the street address Prince personally assigned to, and spray painted on, his rented mansion at 1235 Sierra Alte Way, Los Angeles, and is the address included on the liner notes of his album, along with his studio at Paisley Park in Chanhassen (suburb of Minneapolis) as the location(s) where the recording was made; 3) A practicing Jehova Witness, Prince chose "3121" as a reference to Psalm 31:21. NOTE: Prince was found dead (apparently due to a prescription drug overdose) in his elevator at his Paisley Park Studio on April 21, 2016, ironically, on a date that includes the number "3121" (3+1=4) (+ 21) or 4/21. As a result of his sudden and unexpected death, we anticipate the interest in and collectibility of this miniature perfume bottle to only grow in the years to come. - aaw
