DESCRIPTION: This book is not only a BEAUTIFUL coffee table display book that is profusely illustrated, but is also an indispensable reference book for any collector of perfume bottles or anyone interested in the history and manufacturing process of perfume and the fragrance industry.
Purchased from a collector who kept it in her showcase for over 30 years, this book is in very good condition with no marks, inscriptions, notes, or underlining of any kind. The book is complete with its original dust cover and has no missing pages. It belonged to a collector, so it was well cared for.
There are a few minor condition issues to be mentioned, including: some very small inner spine damage (see photo), dustjacket corner was clipped on the inside (original price removed by owner), a few "wrinkles" and superficial scratches on the dustcover itself, very slight yellowing of pages (36 years old), and the last page has a small crease where the page opens out full length.
All of that said, keep in mind that this BEAUTIFUL book is a FIRST EDITION and Out-of-Print. In addition to it's gorgeous design, the book is profusely illustrated with photographs, diagrams, and drawings. Most of the pages have a beautifully detailed and filigree border that surrounds the content on each page and it is a wealth of historical information on the history of perfume and perfume making.
